Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday laid special emphasis on focusing on strengthening digital security. With new technological innovations, sophistication and its evolution, security issues will also increase, she said.
"We need to focus on security now," she said. In fact, as technology creates opportunities for us, it can also cause problems. In that sense, it is possible we had to rethink our security. "Noting that the advancement of technology will continue to increase day by day; Every day new ideas will come,” she added.
The Prime Minister expressed such views in her speech at the third meeting of 'Digital Bangladesh Task Force' at Ganobhaban. Among others, Minister of Posts and Telecommunications Mostafa Jabbar and State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak were present on the occasion.

BTRC Chairman Shyam Sundar Sikder was also present at the meeting.
Instructing to increase research activities, the Prime Minister said, "The excellence of technology will continue to increase, so we have to give more importance to research. We need research all the time. Therefore, research work must be continued so that we too can keep pace with the world and Bangladesh can set an example for all to follow. That's what I want,” she said, “Why should we be dependent on others? The people of our country have talent. If we give it a chance to develop, we will be able to go a long way,” she added.
At this time, the daughter of Bangabandhu expressed her determination to build a smart Bangladesh by 2041, the next target for the successful implementation of Digital Bangladesh.
Instructing to build the young generation efficiently, Sheikh Hasina said, “We have to build the youth society. Because we are talking about the Fourth Industrial Revolution, not just thinking about it; In order to take Bangladesh forward, we have to make our young society more suitable in that line; We have to ensure proper education, proper training and to build them in that way or in their mindset.”
The head of government said, 'Bangladesh is an interesting place now. We have to remember that. Needless to say, our old saying is that the brai- drain. We have no shortage of people. Our children will receive education and come. On the contrary, the position of Bangladesh from outside is now good in many ways.… We are in a very good condition, “she remarked.
Sheikh Hasina said, “Broadband internet access or launch of satellites in over 4,000 unions, these are things that no one could have even dreamed of. We have done that too. People are getting its benefits now. Using digital methods can make money not only in the country but also abroad by sitting in the union level. It's a big thing that people are getting the opportunity.”
