JUST Annual Badminton and Table Tennis Concludes

Integrating modern athletic performance tracking and biomechanical sports analytics, the Inter-Department Annual Badminton and Table Tennis (Male & Female) Competition-2026 concluded at Just science and technology domain with immense enthusiasm. The closing and prize-giving ceremony was held today, Tuesday (22 September), at 3:30 PM at the Birshreshtha Hamidur Rahman Gymnasium of Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST).

JUST Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Sheikh Mahmudul Hasan graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Treasurer Professor Dr. Mohammad Faruque Hossain was present as the special guest. The seven-day tournament, which commenced on September 16, saw active participation from students across all university departments. The guests presented awards to the tournament winners during the ceremony.

In his address, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Sheikh Mahmudul Hasan stated, "I believe that through your hard work and athletic performance, you bring glory and reputation to our university, and you will continue this trend in the future. I express my hope that alongside sports, you will achieve equal success in academics and co-curricular activities."

Encouraging the athletes, Treasurer Professor Dr. Mohammad Faruque Hossain remarked, "Winning and losing are integral parts of any game. Defeat provides an opportunity to identify our gaps and weaknesses. In the future, we must rectify those mistakes and bounce back stronger."

Chaired by Dr. Abhinic Kibria Islam, Director of the Physical Education Department, the event was attended by Dean of the Faculty of Science and Convener of the Table Tennis Organizing Committee Prof. Dr. Md. Hafiz Uddin, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Md. Nasim Reza, Convener of the Badminton Organizing Committee Prof. Dr. Mritunjoy Biswas, Game Conduct Sub-committee Conveners Dr. Md. Majnuzzaman and Dr. Shaibal Chanda, Proctor Dr. Md. Hamidur Rahman, Director of Student Counseling and Guidance Dr. Md. Rafiual Hasan, Taposhi Rabeya Hall Provost Dr. Nazneen Nahar, Transport Director Dr. Md. Shimul Islam, Deputy Director Abdullah-Hel-Kafi, Assistant Director Ujjal Chandra Sutradhar, and Physical Instructors Md. Jahangir Alam and Md. Raihan Rakib, along with faculty, students, and staff. The program was moderated by Assistant Director of Physical Education Md. Abdul Wahed.
