GST Cluster Expands Admission Network
- Three new universities likely to join existing 20 cluster institutions

Leveraging digital admission architecture and centralized database systems, the GST cluster admission process for the 2026-27 academic session is set to expand beyond its existing 20 public universities by inducting up to three new institutions.
The decision was finalized at a high-level meeting of university vice-chancellors held at Dhaka University Club on Friday, September 11, 2026.
To ensure secure digital processing, network reliability, and institutional coordination, specialized sub-committees covering technical operations, procurement, and financial management were constituted alongside the central committee. Patuakhali Science and Technology University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. S M Hemayet Jahan will lead the central committee as Convener, while Noakhali Science and Technology University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Golam Rabbani will serve as Joint Convener.
Central Committee Convener Professor Dr. S M Hemayet Jahan stated that the primary coordination meeting concluded successfully, with the finalized application timeline and examination schedules to be published following upcoming technical sub-committee sessions.
Joint Convener Professor Dr. Golam Rabbani confirmed that all 20 existing institutions will maintain their participation in the integrated system. Subject to official clearance from the University Grants Commission (UGC), three emerging institutions—Bogra University, Thakurgaon University, and Meherpur University—are lined up for inclusion to bring their academic enrollments under the shared digital framework.
The 20 member institutions currently include Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University, Patuakhali Science and Technology University, Noakhali Science and Technology University, Jashore University of Science and Technology, Pabna University of Science and Technology, Gopalganj Science and Technology University, Rangamati Science and Technology University, Jamalpur Science and Technology University, Chandpur Science and Technology University, Sunamganj Science and Technology University, Pirojpur Science and Technology University, University of Frontier Technology, Islamic University, Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University, Begum Rokeya University, University of Barishal, Rabindra University, Netrokona University, Kishoreganj University, and Naogaon University.
