DHAKA: Banglalink, a leading digital operator in Bangladesh, has secured the top rank in regulatory compliance across national, district, and upazila-level performance metrics in the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission’s (BTRC) Quality of Service (QoS) assessment for July 2026. The operator clinched the number-one spot in 8 out of 11 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) published in BTRC’s verified evaluation report on Wednesday, 9 September 2026.

The monthly QoS report, which audits all licensed cellular mobile network operators—including Grameenphone, Robi, and state-run Teletalk—marks a milestone in regulatory oversight. For the first time, operator-submitted performance metrics underwent rigorous independent data reconciliation and verification by the regulator, evaluating network resiliency and compliance down to the administrative upazila level.

In the July 2026 audit, Banglalink outperformed competitors across eight critical operational metrics: 2G Call Setup Success, 4G Average User Equipment (UE) Downlink Throughput, 4G E-RAB Non-Retainability, VoLTE Call Setup Success, VoLTE Drop/Abnormal Release, Mixed Voice Setup Success, Circuit Switched Fallback (CSFB) Success, and SMS Completion. The framework replaces legacy self-reported national averages with verified geographic network analytics.

Commenting on the benchmark results, Taimur Rahman, Chief Corporate and Regulatory Affairs Officer of Banglalink, stated, "This achievement validates our intense focus on network architecture and operational performance. We aim to maintain consistency and strive for greatness in terms of infrastructure optimization, ensuring stable service for our consumers and maintaining highly reliable network connectivity across Bangladesh."

Underpinning its connectivity drive, Banglalink is integrating Direct-to-Cell satellite connectivity with Starlink and rolling out Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWiFi) to enhance indoor coverage. Beyond traditional telecommunications, the operator delivers an integrated consumer digital ecosystem comprising the country’s largest infotainment streaming platform, Toffee, and its dedicated fintech payments subsidiary, Mukto Pay.
