National Robotics Festival 'Robofusion 1.0' Kicks Off at Kaliakoir Hi-Tech Park

The national robotics festival 'Robofusion 1.0' has kicked off at the second building of Kaliakoir Hi-Tech Park in Gazipur, aiming to foster the intellectual growth, innovative talents, and enthusiasm for robotics and AI-based technologies among tech-loving youths. Organized by the Robotics Club of the University of Frontier Technology, Bangladesh (UFTB), the day-long festival began on Saturday morning (August 8). More than 500 students and young innovators from across the country are participating spontaneously in this grand tech gathering.

A total of 166 registered teams are competing across various exciting categories in the day-long event. The competition segments include Line Following Robot (LFR) with 33 participating teams, Robo Soccer with 20 teams, Techathon with 35 teams, Project Showcase with 65 teams, and automated Boat Racing with 13 teams. Alongside the core competitions, various segments are being held to enhance the technical knowledge and problem-solving skills of the youth, including automated navigation tracking, competitive robo-football, live coding challenges, and tech project exhibitions.

Ashiqussalehin, Convener of the festival and Lecturer of the Department of Internet of Things and Robotics Engineering at UFTB, stated, "The primary objective of Robofusion 1.0 is not merely hosting a competition, but deeply engaging our youth with robotics, AI, and modern technologies. Our youth possess extraordinary talent and innovative capabilities. We hope this festival inspires students to design tech-driven solutions for real-world problems and represent Bangladesh globally in the future." The day-long national festival will conclude at 5:30 PM with a prize-giving ceremony honoring the winning teams.
