7 August, Friday: Leading digital operator Banglalink has launched a welfare initiative distributing over 12,000 raincoats to rickshaw and van pullers operating across 10 major city corporation areas during the ongoing monsoon season.

The distribution effort spanned key urban hubs, including Dhaka, Gazipur, Chittagong, Khulna, Barisal, Rangpur, Bogra, Sylhet, Mymensingh, and Rajshahi. The campaign specifically targeted low-income transport workers who face harsh weather conditions daily without adequate protective gear to earn their livelihood.

Highlighting the vision behind the initiative, Kazi Urfi Ahmad, Chief Marketing Officer of Banglalink, stated, "We always prioritize community needs. These hardworking individuals play a vital role in keeping our cities moving even amidst adverse weather. Providing raincoats is a small token of respect for their dedication and reflects our ongoing commitment to stand by people when they need it most."

Banglalink reiterated that its role as a responsible digital operator goes beyond providing connectivity, actively embedding Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) into its everyday operations to drive inclusive growth and social well-being across the country.
