According to the National Center for Seismology of India, the earthquake measured 4 on the Richter Scale. The epicentre was located in Rupganj, Narsingdi.
The country has experienced a series of earthquakes in recent weeks. Although most of the tremors have been of relatively low magnitude and short duration, the repeated incidents have increased public concern and anxiety.
Earlier, a magnitude 4.4 earthquake was felt on June 18 at 9:29pm. Before that, a magnitude 4.5 tremor occurred on June 11 at 9:40pm, while a stronger magnitude 5.6 earthquake was recorded on June 7 at 11:37pm.
