Initiative underway to integrate technical education into the national curriculum
Government Prioritising Technical Education to Build Skilled Workforce
Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon has said that the government is working to transform the country's population into a skilled workforce. To achieve this goal, initiatives have been taken to incorporate technical education into the national curriculum.
He made the remarks during a courtesy meeting with Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider at the Secretariat on Sunday.
The minister said Bangladesh and Pakistan have opportunities to work together in skills development and workforce preparation. He noted that cooperation between the two countries could play an important role in advancing education and expanding technical and vocational training.
During the meeting, High Commissioner Imran Haider praised Bangladesh’s various initiatives in the education sector and expressed interest in strengthening cooperation in technical and vocational education.
Later, the Pakistani envoy handed over 1,000 footballs to the minister as a gift for school and college students.
Education Secretary Abdul Khaleque, Director General of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education Professor Dr. Khan Moinuddin Al Mahmud Sohel and Pakistan Deputy High Commissioner Muhammad Wazif were also present at the meeting.
