Chhatra Shakti Forms SUST Convening Committee
The central leadership of Jatiyo Chhatra Shakti (National Students Strength) has approved a partial convening committee for its unit at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST).
According to an organizational notice signed on June 11 by the organization's central President Jahid Ahsan and General Secretary Abu Bakar Majumdar, student leader Rashid Abrar of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Polymer Science has been appointed Convener, while Md. Riaz Hossain of the Department of Business Administration has been named Member Secretary of the newly formed committee.
The notice further stated that Misbahur Rahman Jahid of the Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology has been assigned the role of Senior Joint Convener. Muhammad Robiul Hossain from the Department of Economics has been appointed Senior Joint Member Secretary, while Aminul Islam (Jibon) of the Department of Chemistry will serve as the organization's Chief Organizer.
According to the central committee, the newly formed convening committee has been approved for a one-year term. The organization has also instructed the committee to fill all vacant positions and submit a complete committee structure to the central office within seven working days.
Central leaders expressed optimism that the newly appointed leadership would strengthen the organizational activities of Jatiyo Chhatra Shakti at SUST and contribute to developing student leadership on campus. They also said the committee is expected to play an active role in addressing student concerns and promoting constructive student politics within the university.
Reacting to their appointments, the newly elected leaders pledged to work collectively to implement the organization’s ideals and objectives. They said they would remain actively engaged in addressing academic and student welfare issues while working to build a stronger and more organized presence for the organization on campus through positive and constructive initiatives.
