WITSA Board Meets at ‘Meet ICT 2025’ to Shape Global Tech Priorities

The ‘Meet ICT 2025’ event—featuring exhibitions, seminars, workshops, B2B meetings, and various tech sessions—was held from 25 to 27 November 2025 in Manama, the capital of Bahrain. Alongside the conference, the World Innovation, Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) hosted its Board Meeting on Tuesday, 25 November.

On Thursday, 27 November, the Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) announced from its secretariat that BCS Vice President Md. Wahidul Hasan Dipu represented Bangladesh at the WITSA Board Meeting held at the convention center of the Manama Gulf Hotel. At the meeting, WITSA Board directors and members discussed global policy, technological opportunities, and emerging trends shaping the future of critical technologies.

Speaking about the meeting, BCS Vice President Md. Wahidul Hasan Dipu said, “At a time when artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital commerce, and emerging technologies are rapidly transforming societies and economies worldwide, WITSA is providing crucial leadership in the global technology arena. Initiatives such as the Global AI Summit, Cybersecurity Taskforce, and the WITSA World Cup reflect WITSA’s commitment to building an innovative, inclusive, and progressive digital future. Bangladesh strongly supports these initiatives and stands ready to contribute actively.”

The Board Meeting was jointly organized by the Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) and the Meet ICT 2015 Committee.

Regional vice presidents of WITSA led discussions on cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI). The meeting also announced that the World Innovation and Technology Congress (WCIT) 2026 and the WITSA Global AI Summit 2026 will be hosted next year. It was revealed that the summit will feature the inaugural ‘WITSA Global AI Awards.’

The Board reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the WITSA Global AI Ecosystem Network, focusing on expanding adoption in member countries, increasing accessibility to AI, implementing structured programs through founding hub partners, and encouraging members to join the WITSA GAIN platform to enhance ecosystem growth and benefits.
