For the first time, Bangladesh’s leading tech brand Walton has exported motherboards (PCB and PCBA) to the United States, fulfilling domestic demand while marking a historic milestone for the country. Walton, which already exports “Made in Bangladesh” electronic products to over 50 countries worldwide, shipped more than 2,500 motherboards in its inaugural consignment to SafePro Technologies Incorporated, an IT company based in Wisconsin. The consignment, valued at approximately BDT 2.5 million, was part of Walton’s continued global expansion.

Walton Hi-Tech confirmed the milestone, which was celebrated on the night of September 15 at the company’s corporate office in Bashundhara, Dhaka. The event featured Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant Foyez Ahmed Taiyeb as the chief guest, who cut the ceremonial cake to mark the occasion. Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Division, Sheesh Haider Chowdhury, also attended as a special guest.

Representatives from Walton included SM Rezaul Alam, Chairman of Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited; SM Manjurul Alam, Managing Director; Nishat Tasnim, CEO of Walton Micro-Tech Corporation; and Adil Hossain, MD and CEO of Exentech, a partner company of Robi Axiata. The founder and president of SafePro Technologies Incorporated, Paul L. Eckert, joined the ceremony online.

Foyez Ahmed Taiyeb highlighted the significance, stating, “We are exporting motherboards to the country that houses Silicon Valley. Undoubtedly, this is a historic milestone for Walton and Bangladesh. To further strengthen global competitiveness, Walton should develop a robust ecosystem, combining AI-powered software products, networking, and cybersecurity devices alongside hardware.”

Sheesh Haider Chowdhury added, “America is now importing advanced technology products like motherboards from Bangladesh. This is not only a moment of pride for Walton but also a historic achievement for the country.”

Paul L. Eckert of SafePro Technologies Incorporated remarked, “We are thrilled to source world-class motherboards from Walton. These motherboards will undoubtedly enhance the quality of our security devices.”

At the same event, guests also witnessed the unveiling of Walton’s new eco-friendly Takion electric bikes. Featuring modern design, powerful motors, long-lasting battery backup, and a running cost of just 10–15 poisha per kilometer, these e-bikes are positioned as smart and sustainable mobility solutions for both urban and rural communities.
