JUST Hosts Heartfelt Homage for Returning and Departing Scholars

Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST) organized a felicitation and farewell ceremony on Sunday, July 27, to honor faculty members pursuing higher education abroad and those who have rejoined their positions after completing their studies.
The event, titled “Felicitation and Reception 2025,” was held at 2:00 PM on the fourth floor of the TSC Building on the university campus. Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid attended as the chief guest.
In his address, the Vice Chancellor remarked, “Teachers are the true architects of the nation. Their pursuit of higher education enriches our institution. Today’s program is a modest token of our gratitude. The knowledge they bring from research abroad will further enhance the research endeavors of our students.”
As part of the event, the honored teachers were presented with floral bouquets and tokens of appreciation. The program also provided an opportunity for returning faculty members to share their experiences and for departing scholars to express their reflections.
The ceremony was attended by key academic leaders, including Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Dr. Md. Amzad Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Biological Science and Technology Professor Dr. Md. Sirajul Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology Professor Dr. Shirin Nigar, Dean of the Faculty of Science Dr. Md. Korban Ali, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies Dr. Mohammad Kamal Hossain, and Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Professor Dr. Md. Ziaul Amin. Department chairs and other faculty members were also present.
The event was conducted by Dr. Md. Rafiqul Hasan, Director of the Student Counseling and Guidance Office.
