EBL Enables Essential e-Health for Hajj Pilgrims
Eastern Bank Limited (EBL) has partnered with Grameen Digital Healthcare Solutions to provide essential 24/7 medical services to its customers undertaking the Hajj pilgrimage through the innovative ‘Sukhi’ app. EBL will bear the full cost of this service, ensuring uninterrupted access to critical healthcare during the sacred journey.
The agreement between the two organizations was signed yesterday at EBL’s head office in Dhaka. The initiative aims to ensure peace of mind and access to vital medical care for customers while they are abroad performing Hajj.
Present at the signing ceremony were Dr. Ahmed Arman Siddiqui, Chief Executive Officer of Grameen Digital Healthcare Solutions; Md. Sulaimun Russel, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Business Officer; Ali Reza Iftekhar, Managing Director and CEO of EBL; Ahmed Shaheen, Additional Managing Director; Riyad Mahmud Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Director; and Md. Zabedul Alam, Head of Transaction Banking, among others.
Commenting on the initiative, EBL Managing Director and CEO Ali Reza Iftekhar said, “This agreement reflects EBL’s commitment to enhancing the customer experience while also playing a meaningful role in the broader healthcare ecosystem of Bangladesh.”
