CUET Champions Creativity with MIE Robolution 1.0

The Department of Mechatronics and Industrial Engineering (MIE) at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) is set to host a unique technology and innovation-based competition titled MIE Robolution 1.0 from May 8 to May 10.

The event will feature a range of competitions including Techathon (a team-based innovation contest solving real-world technical problems), Robo Soccer (an engaging football match controlled by robots), Line Following Robot (robot racing based on speed and precision), CAD Contest (mechanical design skills competition), and Project Showcasing & Poster Presentation (a display of practical robotics and mechatronics projects and ideas). Additionally, there will be a Seminar Session titled Industry 4.0 featuring top researchers and technology experts, a Colorful Rally (a promotional and motivational parade across the campus), a Gaming Contest & MIE Exhibition Booth (offering entertainment and departmental engagement), and a Cricket Fiesta (a cricket tournament).

Details of the event were announced at a press conference held on Sunday (May 4) in CUET’s Syndicate Room. A written statement was presented by Professor Dr. Prosonjit Das, Head of the MIE Department and Chair of MIE Robolution 1.0.

Also present at the briefing were Dr. Humayun Kabir, Assistant Professor of MIE and Chief Coordinator of the event; Monowar Wadud Hridoy, Sanjib Roy, Nusrat Sultana, and MIE Lecturer Imran Hossain.

CUET Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan will attend the inaugural ceremony on May 8 as Chief Guest. Professor Dr. Sajal Chandra Banik, Director of CUET’s Directorate of Research and Extension, will be present as Special Guest. The session will be presided over by Professor Dr. Prosonjit Das.

Panel speakers at the seminar will include Professor Dr. Md. Rokonuzzaman of the Mechanical Engineering Department at RUET; Nasik M. Akkas, Director (Engineering) of SYNX; Md. Ibrahim, CEO of Eclectic; Shubhadip Bhattacharya, Plant Manager at Transcom; and Muhammad Shahidul Islam, Assistant Manager at BSRM.

CS Lab will be the title sponsor of the event, with Iconic, SYNX, Particles, Weizen, Eclectic, Macro Construction and Engineering, and Factory Next serving as additional sponsors.
