Adobe Announces Free Photoshop App for Mobile Users

For the first time, Adobe has launched a mobile version of Photoshop, allowing users to access the app for free. A premium version, offering additional features, will be available via a $7.99 monthly subscription, according to Reuters.
Since its initial release in 1990, Photoshop has only been available as a paid software. Previously, the most affordable subscription was a $9.99 per month iPad version. However, this new release is now accessible to iPhone users, with an Android version expected soon, as confirmed by Adobe.
With Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android platforms already offering built-in free photo editing tools, Adobe aims to attract younger users with this new initiative. Deepa Subramaniam, Vice President of Adobe's Creative Professional Apps division, stated, "This app has been designed with young creators in mind, as many of them rely on mobile devices for their creative work."
The free Photoshop app will include essential features such as layer-based editing, masking, and text addition, enabling users to design podcast covers, music playlists, and YouTube video thumbnails.
