YouTube TV and Paramount have reached a new agreement, ensuring that Paramount’s channels will remain available on Google’s TV service. The announcement was made late Saturday night by both companies, according to a report by TechCrunch.

While the details of the deal were not disclosed, a Paramount spokesperson stated that the agreement "expands our streaming partnership." As a result, Paramount+ will continue to be available on YouTube’s Primetime Channels, alongside other services like Showtime and BET+. Additionally, Google has secured permission to offer Paramount+ to select YouTube TV subscribers.

YouTube TV has previously been involved in disputes with major media companies such as Disney. In a statement, Google said, "We’re pleased to share that Paramount channels—including CBS, CBS Sports, Nickelodeon, and more—are staying on YouTube TV. Thank you to our members for their patience."

Earlier, Google had warned that if no agreement was reached by February 13, all Paramount content—including CBS and CBS Sports—would be removed from YouTube TV. However, as negotiations progressed, both parties extended the deadline.

Google stated that it was striving for a deal that would allow subscribers to access their favorite sports and shows "with greater flexibility, without imposing additional costs on customers."

Meanwhile, in an internal memo, Paramount’s co-CEOs George Cheeks, Chris McCarthy, and Brian Robbins accused Google of being "unwilling to agree to a fair market deal" and asserted that "a successful video service cannot thrive without Paramount, as it is one of the leading media families in television viewership."
