Students of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) have submitted a memorandum to BNP Acting Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, demanding the reinstatement of former Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Abu Sadat Muhammad Sayem. The memorandum was handed over by student representatives on Thursday (November 5) around 1:00 PM at the guest house of the Chittagong Club, where students briefed him on the background and current situation of their ongoing movement.

BNP Acting Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi appreciated the peaceful and disciplined nature of the student protest. Thanking them for conducting the movement without any form of anarchy, he assured the students that he would take appropriate steps regarding the matter upon his return to Dhaka.

Sharing his perspective, Nafis Hasan Nafi, a fourth-year student of the Civil Engineering Department, stated, "Today at noon, we presented our memorandum to the Acting Secretary General of BNP demanding the reinstatement of our VC. We hope that through his initiative, the government will take steps in accordance with the students' demands and swiftly restore all normal academic and administrative activities at CUET."

Notably, prior to this engagement, the protesting students had also submitted memorandums to Water Resources Minister Md. Shahabuddin Chowdhury Annie, Prime Minister's Public Administration Advisor Md. Ismail Zabiullah, and Chittagong Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Islam Miah.
