Bangladesh is preparing to host the Bangladesh AI Business Summit 2026 to promote the practical use of artificial intelligence in business, expand commercial opportunities for local innovations and showcase the capabilities of technology-driven entrepreneurs. Scheduled for November 5 in Dhaka, the summit is expected to feature exhibition stalls involving more than 100 AI-based startups and innovative ventures. The event aims to create opportunities for technology innovators, businesses, potential investors and experts to connect and explore collaboration.

A preparatory meeting was held on Sunday, October 25, at the meeting room of the Ministry of Science and Technology in the Bangladesh Secretariat. The meeting reviewed overall arrangements and coordinated the activities of the committees formed for the summit. Ministry Secretary Md Anwar Hossain chaired the meeting.

Conveners and member-secretaries of the various subcommittees, along with senior ministry officials, attended. Officials from the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) joined virtually and shared views and recommendations on event arrangements, participating organisations, exhibitions, discussion sessions and overall management.

The meeting reviewed progress in preparations and discussed AI development, business applications, the expansion of innovative initiatives and stronger links between industry and educational institutions. Participants emphasised showcasing Bangladesh’s AI-based innovations and entrepreneurial capabilities while expanding technology-driven business opportunities.

According to the meeting, exhibition stalls will feature more than 100 AI-based startups and innovative ventures. Entrepreneurs will present AI technologies, products, services and practical solutions. The exhibition is expected to raise public awareness of AI applications, give innovators a platform to showcase their work and help them connect with potential investors and business partners.

Three major discussion sessions will examine current developments in artificial intelligence, business applications, innovation and future prospects. Senior corporate executives, business leaders, technology experts and representatives of development partner organisations are expected to participate.

The sessions will provide opportunities to discuss effective AI adoption, commercialisation of local innovations, skills development and stronger industry-academia collaboration. The discussions are expected to help connect technological innovation more closely with business needs.

The preparatory meeting stressed that all subcommittees and stakeholders should fulfil their assigned responsibilities to ensure the summit runs successfully. It also highlighted the need for coordination across event activities, greater participant engagement and effective delivery of the exhibitions and discussion sessions.

Organisers expect the Bangladesh AI Business Summit 2026 to strengthen public-private cooperation in AI-based innovation, technology entrepreneurship and the wider adoption of modern technologies across business and commerce.

The opening session is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at the Hall of Fame of the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre (BCFCC) in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka. The supplied announcement states that President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has agreed to attend as chief guest. Science and Technology Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam, MP, the DCCI president and other distinguished guests are also expected to attend.
