Dockyard and Engineering Works Limited (DEWBN), run by the Bangladesh Navy, has announced the direct recruitment of 86 technical and administrative personnel across 35 categories to bolster maritime engineering infrastructure.
The job circular was published on Thursday, September 10, 2026, following its official issuance under memo 06.02.6758.165.11.165.26.1083 on September 9, 2026. The appointments will be made on a contractual and daily-wage basis at the shipyard located in Sonakanda, Bandar, Narayanganj.
Key technical openings include Assistant Engineer (Naval Architect) in the P&D Division, Quality Control Cell, and Production Division, as well as Sub-Assistant Engineer posts in the Shipbuilding, Outfitting, and ICE shops. Qualified applicants from all districts holding B.Sc. in engineering, diplomas, general degrees, or Class 8 and SSC certificates can apply depending on specific trade criteria.
Candidates with B.Com, M.Com, or HSC qualifications are eligible for accounting positions. Applicants proficient in computer operations can apply for Accounts Assistant and Lower Division Clerk (LDC) posts. Certified technical drivers with valid BRTA licenses are eligible for crane operations, while drivers and mailmen will also be hired.
General applicants must be aged between 18 and 35 years, with relaxations allowed for candidates with specialized expertise. Contractual positions offer basic pay with applicable allowances, while daily-wage employees will be compensated under shipyard service rules and national labor laws.
There is no application fee. Candidates must download the prescribed form from www.dewbn.gov.bd, print it on A4 paper, and submit it along with certified copies of educational credentials, national identity documents, citizenship certificates, and four passport-sized photographs. Applications must state the post name, circular memo number, and home district on the envelope, and reach the Managing Director, Dockyard and Engineering Works Limited, Bangladesh Navy, Sonakanda, Bandar-1410, Narayanganj by post or in person within office hours on September 19, 2026.
