Over 500 Disadvantaged People Receive Care at Free Medical Camp in Nabinagar

A day-long free medical camp, featuring comprehensive health check-ups and the distribution of free prescription medicines, was successfully conducted in memory of the late gold medalist, prominent educationist, and freedom fighter Ariful Islam Bhuiyan. More than 500 underprivileged individuals from Nabinagar Upazila and adjacent neighborhoods received specialized treatments at the event. The camp was organized on Friday (August 7) at the ancestral home of the late freedom fighter situated at Gurigram Paschim Para in Bitghar under Nabinagar Upazila of Brahmanbaria district.
Driven by the active support of Al Khalil Diagnostic Hospital, a team of prominent medical experts from the country volunteered to treat the patients. The specialized medical team included Dr. Mostafizur Rahman, Medicine Specialist and Assistant Director of the National Institute of Neurosciences & Hospital; Dr. Tamanna Mahzabin, Pediatrics Specialist; Dr. Md. Rahmat Ullah Bhuiyan, Cancer Specialist; Dr. K M Sakib, Surgery Specialist; Dr. Noor Israt, Medicine Specialist; Dr. Tanzina Bhuiyan, Breast Specialist; Dr. Dalia Akter, Gynecology & Obstetrics Specialist; Dr. Kamrul Hasan Anik, Medicine & Neurology Specialist; and Dr. Tarana Bhuiyan Rupa.
The entire administrative setup and logistical coordination of the free medical camp were sponsored and overseen by Mrs. Sanjida Arif, the wife of the late Ariful Islam Bhuiyan. Local residents remarked that bringing such top-tier national medical specialists to a rural community and offering free healthcare services coupled with diagnostics serves as an exemplary act of community welfare.
