The government has made significant reshuffles in three key positions within information technology and digital administration. The Ministry of Public Administration, by order of the President, issued three separate notifications on Tuesday, relieving the ICT Division Secretary of duty, recalling the Director General of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) to the armed forces, and appointing a new Chief Executive Officer for the Bangladesh Public Procurement Authority (BPPA).

The notification directed Brigadier General Md. Aminul Haque, Director General of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), to return to the armed forces.

As Director General at BTRC, he played crucial roles in spectrum management, telecommunications infrastructure oversight, licensing activities, and various operations related to national telecommunication network security. During his tenure, several initiatives were implemented to strengthen the commission's technology-dependent regulatory capabilities.

As Director General of the Spectrum Division, he led the implementation of highly significant policy and technological decisions in Bangladesh's telecom sector. Recently, his division was involved in Starlink's licensing process for frequency allocation and approving apparatus licenses for importing radio communication equipment to launch new satellite internet or high-speed communication technology in Bangladesh.
