Grameenphone Launches 5G Roaming Service for Customers
Telecommunications service provider Grameenphone has launched 5G roaming services for its customers, enabling them to access ultra-fast 5G networks while travelling abroad. The service promises seamless streaming, clearer video calls, faster downloads and a smoother online work experience—similar to what users enjoy at home.
With this launch, customers using 5G-enabled smartphones and Grameenphone SIMs will be able to stay connected overseas without interruption. The service does not require any additional charges or the purchase of new roaming packs, as customers can access high-speed 5G connectivity under their existing roaming packages.
Currently, the 5G roaming service is available in Thailand, Malaysia, Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Grameenphone said the service will be expanded to more countries in phases.
Commenting on the launch, Grameenphone Chief Product Officer Solaiman Alam said the introduction of 5G roaming reflects the company’s commitment to delivering world-class customer experiences.
