Cloud-Native Days Bangladesh Debuts with Daylong In-Person Conference

Bangladesh’s first full-day in-person cloud-native technology conference, Cloud Native Days Bangladesh, is currently underway at the conference hall of the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) in the capital, with the participation of professionals from the country’s technology sector.

Organised by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), the conference began on Saturday morning, January 24, bringing together more than 300 cloud-native practitioners, DevOps engineers, site reliability engineers (SREs), architects, and students. The event marks a significant milestone for Bangladesh’s growing cloud-native ecosystem.

Technology professionals are observing the day through a series of seminars, experience-sharing sessions, and networking opportunities. Participants are attending multiple sessions scheduled to continue until 5:00 pm.

The opening session was moderated by Jasim Alam, Co-organiser of Cloud Native Bangladesh. The keynote discussion was delivered by Audra Montenegro, Cloud Native Community and Outreach Manager. This was followed by sessions from Md Arif Hossain and Zaynul Abedin Mia, Cloud Native Community Ambassadors, who discussed open-source contributions and the importance of community participation.

In the subsequent panel discussion, technologist Suman Ahmed Sabir, Field Nation Director Shahzada Redwan, F5 Senior Solution Engineer Mashfiur Rahman, and AppsCode Founder and CEO Tamal Saha shared insights on the challenges of cloud-native technology adoption and its business impact. Moderated by Amir Hossain, Head of Tech Operations at BJIT, the session focused on the theme “Cloud-Native in Bangladesh: Adoption vs Real Impact.”

Following the panel discussion, the conference moved into its technical sessions. Dr Kashif Nizam Khan, Open-Source Architect at Ericsson; Aminul Islam Tareq, Senior Solution Engineer at F5; and Kazi Ashiqur Rahman, DevSecOps Engineer at Cantaloupe, delivered in-depth talks on architecture, security, and scalability.

The Women in Tech session is scheduled to begin after the midday break. Nourin Haque Ridi, Software Engineering Manager at Field Nation, will highlight the importance of diversity and inclusion within technology communities. Additionally, Shamim Ahmed of Pico Cloud and Safin Ahmed of Field Nation will share insights on emerging use cases in the cloud-native space.

The event also features a hands-on technical workshop titled “Secure Software Delivery with GitOps,” conducted by Md Amdadul Bari of BRAC IT and Md Nasir Uddin of TechnoNext.

Among the organising supporters present at the event are Md Shahriar Al Mustakim Mitul, Mohammad Abdul Aziz, Abdullah Al Reza, and Md Al Amin Talukdar.
