A major information technology exhibition aimed at showcasing the country’s latest technological innovations, ICT capabilities, achievements and future potential is set to begin at the start of the year. With a target of attracting around 300,000 visitors, the sixth edition of the Digital Device and Innovation Expo will be held from January 29 for three days at the Bangabandhu Bangladesh–China Friendship Conference Center (BCCFCC) under the theme “Bangladesh to the World.”

Spanning nearly 6,500 square metres of the venue—including the Hall of Fame, Celebrity, Harmony, Carnival, Milky Way, Media Bazaar and Windy Town—the expo will feature multiple zones such as local manufacturing, product showcases, innovation displays, meet-ups with international manufacturers, digital lifestyle, mega sales, seminars and B2B matchmaking.

Organisers said more than a hundred local and international ICT companies, organisations and government ministries, divisions and departments will participate. The exhibition will host local digital product manufacturers and service providers, innovative local exhibitors, globally renowned brands, computer gaming development firms, hardware service providers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and software service companies. In addition, a series of seminars, panel discussions and policy dialogues on ICT sector development will be organised with international collaboration. A total of 130 pavilions and stalls will showcase products, services, projects and initiatives from both the public and private sectors.

The expo is being jointly organised by the ICT Division, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority and the Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS).

The details were announced at a press conference held on Monday, December 29, at the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) auditorium in Agargaon, Dhaka, where the new logo of Digital Device and Innovation Expo 2026, symbolised by a clenched fist, was also unveiled.

Unveiling the logo, ICT Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury said Bangladesh is no longer merely a consumer of technology but is steadily emerging as a reliable global hub for technology production, innovation and exports. “We want Bangladesh to move forward by relying on its own technology to face any future challenges,” he said.

He added that the growing interest of people in using digital devices is a positive sign for technological advancement, noting that digital transformation is a continuous process in which Bangladesh has already made significant progress. He also credited ongoing initiatives led by the Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser for the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, for accelerating this transformation.

Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Managing Director and Additional Secretary Md Mamunur Rashid Bhuiyan said attracting both local and foreign investment is a key focus of this year’s expo. “Through the concept of ‘Bangladesh to the Global,’ we aim to present Bangladesh as a promising destination for technology manufacturing and research,” he said, highlighting world-class infrastructure, skilled and cost-effective human resources, investor-friendly policies, tax incentives, one-stop services and logistical facilities available at hi-tech parks. He noted that the logo symbol reflects “People’s Power” as the core philosophy of the initiative.

BCS Secretary General Muhammad Monirul Islam presented a detailed overview of the expo through a PowerPoint presentation. Additional remarks were made by Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Member (Administration and Technical) Md Saiful Hasan and BCS President Md Zahurul Islam.

BCS President Md Zahurul Islam said that since its establishment in 1987, BCS has been organising ICT exhibitions to showcase Bangladesh’s technology sector achievements globally. “Bangladesh is investment-friendly, policy-supportive and believes in long-term partnerships,” he said, expressing confidence that the seminars and discussions at the Digital Device and Innovation Expo 2026 will help build strong connections between local and foreign investors and contribute to accelerating the country’s ICT advancement.

The expo will be jointly supported by a2i of the ICT Division, Department of ICT, National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC), Startup Bangladesh Limited and the Office of the Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA). Supporting organisations include BASIS, BACCO, ISPAB, e-CAB, BIJF and the Technology Media Guild Bangladesh (TMGB).
