Insaaf Invades OTT: Raj Returns as Reel Don
As crime rates have surged, many wondered—“Has Yusuf returned?” Once a dreaded name, underworld don Yusuf is now making a comeback—on screen. In Sanjoy Somadder’s film Insaaf, Shariful Raj takes on the role of Yusuf, while Tasnia Farin plays the sharp police officer Jahan Khan.
The film will premiere on the OTT platform Chorki on September 3 at 12:01 a.m. (September 4). Earlier, it was released in cinemas during the last Eid-ul-Azha.
Director Sanjoy Somadder said, “Through its release on Chorki, the film will reach a wider audience. Viewers outside Bangladesh will also be able to watch it.”
The film’s lead actors, Tasnia Farin and Shariful Raj, expressed their hopes that “OTT audiences will also enjoy the movie.”
The cast also includes Misha Sawdagar, Fazlur Rahman Babu, and Don. The screenplay and dialogues were written by Nazim Ud Doula, Swaroop Dey, and Sanjoy Somadder. The film has been produced by Abul Kalam.
