The curtain fell on the second chapter of ICT Olympiad Bangladesh with grand celebrations, as 39 winners were awarded cash prizes, health insurance, laptops, tablets, local and international tours, trophies, medals, certificates, and other exciting gifts. The grand finale took place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the campus of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) in Mirpur, Dhaka.

The final round brought together 290 top participants selected from over 10,000 students across various districts in the country. This day-long event marked the culmination of a nationwide competition aimed at inspiring the new generation to engage in the tech sector.

Professor Dr. A. B. M. Shawkat Ali, Vice-Chancellor of BUBT, attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. He assured full cooperation from the university in preparing the winning teams to represent Bangladesh in international competitions.

The event was graced by several notable figures serving as judges, including Engineer Md. Safayet Hossain, Director of IQAC at the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS); Ariful Hasan Apu, President of Space Innovation Camp and Advisor to NASA Space App Challenge; Md. Tahzibul Islam, Chairman of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Dhaka International University; Aman Suleman, Advisor to ICT Olympiad Bangladesh and Founder of English Olympiad; and Mujtaba Sattar Ananta, CEO of Quantum Safe Bangladesh.

Speaking about the competition, ICT Olympiad Bangladesh Founder Mohammad Shahriar Khan said, “Our goal is to prepare the next generation for a technology-driven future. This Olympiad is not just a contest—it is a platform that supports youth in developing their skills.”

Senior Vice Chairman of ICT Olympiad Bangladesh, Md. Abdur Rahman Nipu, added, “We believe the youth of Bangladesh possess immense potential. By gaining expertise in ICT, they can significantly contribute to the country's progress.”

Program Co-Convener Golam Sarwar emphasized the broader mission behind the initiative, stating, “The ICT Olympiad is not merely a competition—it’s a mission to nurture the technological skills, innovative thinking, and leadership qualities of our youth. They are the architects of tomorrow’s Bangladesh, and we are here to support them on that journey.”

The event highlighted not only excellence in competition but also the promise of a digital future shaped by Bangladesh’s emerging tech talents.
