Huawei has introduced an advanced Energy Storage System (ESS) aimed at simplifying the storage and supply of electricity generated from solar power plants. The unveiling took place during the "Huawei Digital Power Partner Summit 2025," held at Huawei Bangladesh Academy in Dhaka.

Ni Xiaopeng (Liam), Managing Director of Huawei South Asia Digital Power Business, officially launched the new ESS system in the local market.

Also present at the event were Wu Ji (Jason), President of Huawei South Asia and CEO of Huawei Bangladesh; Ren Jianyu (Jamison), Director of Huawei South Asia Digital Power Partner Business; and Md. Rashedul Karim, Country Head of Kingsun Bangladesh, a partner EPC company of Huawei.

In a press release issued on Wednesday, Huawei Bangladesh stated that the newly launched high-efficiency N+1 generation Liquid and Air Intelligent Cooling Energy Storage System (ESS) is specifically designed for dual-mode operation—both on-grid and off-grid. In case of any power disruption, the system can seamlessly switch to off-grid mode to ensure uninterrupted power for critical operations.

“During on-grid operation,” the release noted, “the system can reserve power for emergency off-grid supply by setting the SOC (State of Charge) at the Backup Power Security Operations Center.”

Equipped with a precise control system and an advanced hybrid cooling algorithm, the ESS is capable of delivering a round-trip efficiency of 91.3 percent. Its Pack-Level Optimization 2.0 enables real-time active balancing without charge and discharge restrictions, thereby increasing the total usable energy by 2%.

The new ESS model, Luna 2000-215, is designed to eliminate previously encountered issues, marking a significant advancement in energy storage solutions for the region.
