The VYZOV Foundation, a Russian nonprofit dedicated to cutting‑edge research, has opened nominations for its prestigious “VYZOV Prize for Future Technologies,” calling on young scientists worldwide to submit breakthrough work by 1 May.

Applications may be filed directly by a researcher, by a peer, or by an academic institution via the competition’s website, the foundation said in a release circulated by Rosatom. Candidates are expected to have achieved their principal results within the past decade.

International entrants will compete in the newly internationalised “Discovery” category, created in 2024 to honour discoveries “that have significantly influenced the development of science and technology.” Four additional categories—“Break‑through,” “Engineering Solution,” “Scientist of the Year” and “Perspective”—remain reserved for Russian nationals.

The foundation said the prize aims to “recognise ideas and inventions that redefine modern science—and inspire the next generation to devote themselves to research.”
