Fiverr Introduces AI Tools to Empower Gig Workers
Freelance marketplace Fiverr is introducing artificial intelligence (AI) tools to help gig workers enhance their skills and automate tasks. Under a new initiative, freelancers will be able to train their own AI models using their voice, design, and other work samples, allowing them to monetize the AI-powered services they create. The news was reported by TechCrunch.
Fiverr CEO Micha Kaufman stated, "This will not make freelancers obsolete but rather empower them further."
With AI reducing job opportunities for writers, programmers, and app developers, Fiverr is launching the "Personal AI Creation Model," enabling freelancers to develop automated AI models based on their own work. The service will be available for a monthly fee of $25.
Additionally, Fiverr is introducing another tool called "Personal AI Assistant," designed to facilitate freelancer-client communication. This service will require a subscription fee of $29 per month.
Fiverr has assured that freelancers’ work will not be used to train the company’s own AI models and that freelancers will have the option to disable their AI models if they choose. Moreover, the company has announced plans to offer shares to successful freelancers as part of its new initiative.
