A garment worker in Gazipur has won a gold necklace by utilizing the tech-driven remittance services of Nagad, the digital financial service of the Bangladesh Postal Department. He received the reward as the fourth winner of the ongoing 'Har Na Mana Har' campaign, designed to encourage legal remittance inflows using MFS technology.

Popular actress Runa Khan presented the prize as a surprise to winner Umar Faruk at his workplace in Gazipur today, Monday, July 27, 2026. Faruk qualified for the reward after receiving funds sent by his younger brother Tarif Mia, an expatriate worker in Malaysia, directly through Nagad's digital platform.

Launched on May 15, 2026, the tech-incentive campaign is set to run until August 31, 2026. Under the terms, customers receiving a minimum of BDT 10,000 in remittance through Nagad automatically enter the daily prize draw for gold necklaces.

Expressing his joy, Umar Faruk said, "My brother regularly sends money from Malaysia. Through Nagad’s digital wallet, I receive the remittance very conveniently. Getting a gold necklace on top of that was beyond my expectation."

Highlighting the objective, Nagad Head of Marketing H. U. M. Mehadi Sajjad stated, "Expatriates are the driving force of our economy. Their hard-earned money strengthens our national reserve when routed through legal digital channels. The purpose of this campaign is to honor their contribution while ensuring instant, safe remittance straight to their families via digital technology."

The company confirmed that it will continue using mobile financial technology to facilitate swift, legitimate remittance processing across the country until the end of August.
