Chinese technology giant Huawei has officially re-entered Bangladesh’s consumer electronics and ICT market with an extensive lineup of new smart devices, nearly five years after its presence in the smartphone segment was significantly impacted by U.S. sanctions.

At a grand launch event held Monday evening (June 8) at Huawei Bangladesh’s office in Gulshan, the company unveiled 13 new products, including smartphones, foldable devices, tablets, smartwatches and wireless audio accessories. The event, organized under the theme “Now Is Your Spark,” was attended by technology experts, media professionals and business partners.

Huawei’s renewed market strategy aims to offer Bangladeshi consumers access to its latest innovations while rebuilding its position in the country’s highly competitive technology sector. One of the key highlights of the relaunch is the integration of Huawei’s proprietary HarmonyOS alongside the G-Box solution, enabling users to access Google Play Store services and popular applications such as Facebook, Google apps and other essential platforms.

Huawei also announced DX Group as its national distributor in Bangladesh, responsible for ensuring nationwide product availability, genuine warranty coverage, original spare parts and after-sales support.

Among the flagship products showcased at the event were the Huawei Mate 80 Pro smartphone, the premium foldable Mate X7, the MatePad 11.5 tablet, the health-focused Watch Fit 5 Series, and the open-ear audio device FreeClip 2, featuring Huawei’s signature C-Bridge design.

Speaking at the launch, Eric Pang, Country Head of Huawei Bangladesh, said innovation remains the company’s core strength.

“These flagship products are designed to enhance users’ creativity and enrich their everyday digital experiences,” he said.

Dewan Kanan, Chief Executive Officer of DX Group, expressed optimism about the partnership, saying the company is proud to represent one of the world’s leading technology brands and will leverage its nationwide distribution network to bring Huawei products closer to consumers.

Huawei also announced the official retail prices of several newly launched products. The Huawei Nova Y74 (8GB+256GB) is priced at BDT 29,999, while the Nova 15 Max and MatePad 11.5 will retail at BDT 49,999 each. The flagship foldable Mate X7 has been priced at BDT 249,999.

Meanwhile, the Watch Fit 5 will be available for BDT 19,999, the Watch Fit 5 Pro for BDT 29,999, and the Band 11 Series between BDT 4,999 and BDT 6,499.

Huawei Bangladesh Marketing Manager Faruk Rahman said the company is returning with a robust software ecosystem built around its AppGallery platform.

“AppGallery now supports WhatsApp, messaging applications, email services and a wide range of essential apps. In addition, we have alternative solutions that allow users to access applications traditionally downloaded through Google Play Store,” he said.

According to Md. Jannatul Nayeem, Lead Marketer of DX Group, the new Huawei devices will be available through major retail channels including Gadget & Gear, Sumash Tech, Daraz, and Pickaboo, alongside other authorized outlets across the country.
