UITS Students Showcase Nine Innovative Projects at Sixth DDI Expo

Nine out of the 39 projects exhibited at the recently concluded sixth edition of the four-day Digital Device and Innovation Expo were presented by students of the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS). The expo was held at the Bangladesh–China Friendship Conference Center in the capital.

The UITS student projects included: advanced cooling solution UITS_Peltiers; smart focus assistant UITS_Monojog; advanced laser security system UITS_Artifact Armor; emergency response system for natural disasters UITS_Cloud Drone; turning today’s scrap into tomorrow’s sustainable solution UITS_Scrap Venture; smart assistive device for the visually impaired UITS_Sound Vision; solar-powered hybrid cooking system UITS_Heliostove; surveillance solution UITS_HawkEye Surveillance; and camera scanner-based solution for detecting accident-damaged vehicles UITS_Auto Trace AI.

The UITS_Peltiers team comprised Asif Mahmud, Nusrat Jahan Anny, KM Zakaria, Jihadul Zarif, Promi Clara Rosario, Omar Faruk Rakib, and Md Zahidul Islam. Members of the UITS_Monojog team were Yasmin Kabir Keya, Fahima Abida Chowdhury, Orpa Bhowmik, and Sauda Akter. The UITS_Artifact Armor project was developed by Abdul Badsha, Rudra Das, Yasmin Akter, and Bulbul Bhuiya. The UITS_Cloud Drone project was built by Motaleb Hossain Emon, Sharmin Ima, Md Ibrahim, and Farhana Tushi. The UITS_Scrap Venture team included Motaleb Hossain Emon, Farhan Tushi, Md Ibrahim, and Sifat Hossain.

The UITS_Sound Vision team consisted of Ishraq Uddin Chowdhury, Fahima Abida Chowdhury, and Sumaiya Binte Ismail. Members of the UITS_Heliostove project were Kazi Md Azhar Uddin Abir and Ishraq Uddin Chowdhury. The UITS_HawkEye Surveillance team included Kayes Mahmud, Md Minhajur Rahman, Md Mubinul Islam, and Redwanul Islam Rafi. The UITS_Auto Trace AI project was developed by Yunus, Sayem Bin H Rahman, Shahida Akter Rimu, and Nur A Jannat Ruba.

According to the Innovation Hub of UITS’s Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), the university’s strong presence at the expo once again highlighted its commitment to fostering innovation, applied research, and the development of socially impactful, technology-driven solutions among students. By showcasing technology-based innovations, modern digital solutions, and future-oriented technologies, the expo reflected the country’s ongoing digital transformation and technology-led development.

The fair was jointly organized by the Information and Communication Technology Division, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA), and Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS).
