South Korean tech giant Samsung has announced plans to double the number of mobile devices powered by Google’s Gemini AI within this year, according to a report by Reuters.

In an interview with Reuters, Samsung Electronics Co–CEO TM Roh said that by 2025, Gemini-based AI features had been rolled out across around 400 million devices, including smartphones and tablets. The company now aims to increase that figure to 800 million devices in 2026.

Roh noted that Samsung’s strategy is to integrate artificial intelligence into all of its products, features, and services as quickly as possible. This approach is also expected to significantly benefit Google, Samsung’s largest partner on the Android platform, particularly in the global AI race against rivals such as OpenAI.

Through this integrated AI ecosystem, Samsung is seeking to strengthen its competitive position against Apple and Chinese manufacturers across smartphones, televisions, and home appliances. The company claims that awareness of its Galaxy AI brand has surged from 30 percent to 80 percent within a year, signaling rapid consumer adoption of AI-driven technologies.
