Daraz Declares 14-Day Return Policy for Greater Customer Confidence
Daraz Bangladesh, the country’s leading e-commerce platform, has introduced a 14-day return policy for products purchased from its marketplace. On Thursday, October 23, the company announced that previously the same facility was available only for items sold under DarazMall. The new policy will now apply across eligible categories on the entire platform.
Under this policy, customers may return products within two weeks of delivery, provided the items remain unused and the packaging and accessories are intact. The return process can be initiated via the Daraz app or website, with the added convenience of free collection or drop-off options. Refunds will include delivery charges as well.
According to Daraz officials, this initiative will allow customers to shop more confidently and comfortably online, free from concerns about fraud or deception. The company believes that launching this facility ahead of its biggest annual sale, “11.11,” will further boost buyer confidence during the festive shopping season.
Kamrul Hasan, Chief Commercial Officer of Daraz Bangladesh, stated, “We have extended the return window from seven to fourteen days to enhance customer trust and convenience. This ensures that our customers can shop with confidence throughout the year.” He added that, prioritizing customer comfort, Daraz delivers products within three days to most regions of the country and within two days in Dhaka.
Industry experts note that while most platforms currently offer return periods ranging from one to seven days depending on product type, Daraz’s new policy marks a significant advancement in customer service standards.
