BiG bKash Rewards for Malaysian Remittances
Bangladesh’s leading mobile financial service, bKash, has announced an exciting reward program for expatriates sending remittances from Malaysia via the international money transfer platform Touch ‘n Go. According to a company statement, the highest monthly remittance recipient can receive a Minister product coupon worth BDT 150,000. Additionally, five recipients weekly will be awarded coupons ranging from BDT 25,000 to BDT 5,000. The promotion, valid until 31 December, is supported by Eastern Bank PLC as the banking partner.
“To win the weekly coupon, Malaysians need to send at least BDT 10,000 (excluding the government incentive of 2.5%) to their loved one’s bKash account,” the statement said. “For the monthly coupon, a minimum remittance of BDT 40,000 per month (excluding the 2.5% government incentive) is required. Each recipient can win both the weekly and monthly coupons once.” The coupons can be redeemed by purchasing Minister products through bKash payments.
The process requires users to select Bangladesh from the Go Remit option in the Touch ‘n Go e-Wallet app. After selecting the e-wallet, they enter the remittance amount, followed by the recipient’s bKash account name, number, and additional details to ensure successful transfer.
This initiative aims to incentivize remittances while offering added benefits to both expatriates and their families back home.
