bdNOG Brings Broadband Brilliance to Dhaka

The 19th edition of the Bangladesh Network Operators Group (bdNOG) Conference has commenced at the Lakeshore Hotel in Dhaka, following a three-day technical workshop held at Lake Castle in Gulshan. The four-day event, jointly organized by bdNOG and the Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB), will conclude this Saturday. The conference is being livestreamed on YouTube.

According to sources, the final day of the bdNOG conference will feature Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, Special Assistant to the Advisor of the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, as the chief guest in the afternoon session.

Special guests at the event include Major General (Retd.) Md. Emdad Ul Bari, Chairman of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), and Nahid Afroze, Joint Secretary and CEO of the Business Promotion Council under the Ministry of Commerce. Also expected are ISPAB President Mohammad Aminul Hakim and bdNOG President Nadir Bin Ali.

Social media posts reveal that the 19th bdNOG conference and workshop officially began on 21 May. From 21–23 May, training workshops were held for internet engineers, covering topics such as "Network Automation" and "Advanced BGP Routing with MikroTik."

bdNOG organizes these regular conferences with the aim of sharing knowledge and experience among local engineers, conducting operational research, promoting ICT talent at the international level, and developing the engineering skills necessary to improve internet services in Bangladesh.
