Seamless and Safe: GST ‘C’ Unit Entry Test Conducted at JUST
Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) successfully hosted the ‘C’ Unit admission test under the cluster admission system for the fifth consecutive year. The examination took place as part of the combined university entrance initiative known as GST (General, Science and Technology), with 1,560 students allocated seats at the JUST center.
According to university sources, over 96.22 percent of registered candidates were present at the JUST campus for the test, indicating a high turnout and smooth organization.
On April 25, the admission test was conducted for students from the commerce background under the GST-integrated system. The upcoming ‘B’ Unit test, catering to students from the humanities stream, is scheduled for May 2, while the ‘A’ Unit test for science background students will be held on May 9 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Additionally, the practical (drawing) test for Architecture applicants will be held on the same day from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Vice-Chancellor of JUST, Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid, expressed satisfaction with the examination process. “The GST ‘C’ Unit admission test at JUST was conducted in a very orderly and peaceful manner,” he stated, extending his heartfelt thanks to all faculty members, officials, and staff for their sincere cooperation in ensuring the success of the examination.
Dr. Mohammad Kamal Hossain, the Coordinator for the ‘C’ Unit at JUST, explained that the test was held at a single center on campus due to the relatively smaller number of examinees. To assist students, digital banners displaying roll numbers, center names, and building directions were placed across the campus. Members of the security subcommittee, BNCC, Rover Scouts, and other volunteers were stationed at building entrances to support and guide examinees.
Prior to the test, JUST authorities undertook comprehensive preparations to ensure a smooth examination process. Adequate law enforcement personnel were deployed to maintain order and security. During the test, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid, accompanied by the university treasurer, visited multiple examination halls to oversee the proceedings firsthand.
