The final round of the National High School Programming Contest 2026 will be held on June 13, aiming to promote technological innovation, programming skills, and problem-solving abilities among secondary school students across Bangladesh.

The grand finale will take place at the BKIICT facility of the Bangladesh Computer Council and the Institute of Information Technology, University of Dhaka. Later in the afternoon, winners of both the programming and quiz competitions will be awarded at a ceremony hosted at the Science and Technology Complex.

The announcement was made at a press conference held at the ICT Division conference room by Acting Secretary Md. Mamunur Rashid Bhuiyan. Also present were ATM Ziaul Islam, Executive Director of the Bangladesh Computer Council, and Md. Zafrul Alam Khan.

Developing Future Technology Leaders

Speaking at the event, Mamunur Rashid Bhuiyan said that today's young coders would become future leaders across various sectors of the country.

“Students who are learning to code today will help lead Bangladesh in the years ahead. Their logical thinking and problem-solving abilities will contribute significantly to national development and the vision of a Smart Bangladesh,” he said.

He noted that the competition, launched in 2015, has successfully completed more than a decade of continuous operation. Its primary objective is to encourage students to view programming not merely as coding, but as a creative tool for solving real-world problems.
