Under the ‘bKash Remittance, Home Full of Gifts’ campaign, 63 relatives of NRIs have won based on receiving the highest remittances sent through bKash via international money transfer service ‘Touch ‘n Go’ from Malaysia.
As per the press release issued on Thursday, January 15th, the prizes were handed over to the winners at an event held recently at bKash's head office. Prize coupons were awarded in three phases with different arrangements for the winners each month. The winners were able to redeem the coupon at their nearest Minister showroom to purchase products of their choice by paying through bKash.
To encourage NRIs to contribute to the country's economy by sending remittances to their loved ones' bKash accounts, Touch ‘n Go, Minister, and bKash jointly organized this campaign from October 1st to December 31st, 2025. Eastern Bank was the banking partner for the campaign. During the campaign, the highest monthly remittance recipient received a Minister product coupon worth Tk 1,50,000. Additionally, five winners each week received Minister product coupons ranging from Tk 25,000 to Tk 5,000.
Currently, NRIs from over 170 countries can send remittances to their relatives' bKash accounts in the country as many times as needed through 135 international money transfer operators (MTOs). These remittances are settled through 27 leading commercial banks and instantly reach the bKash accounts of loved ones in the country, along with a government incentive of Tk 25 per Tk 1,000. The service of sending remittances to bKash accounts is becoming increasingly popular due to various advantages, including instant and easy remittance transfers of any amount to bKash accounts without needing a bank account, and the facility to download remittance statements.
