‘Tara’ Launches Cultural Movement to Reconnect Youth with Bangla Heritage
Culture reflects the lifestyle of a people. It is the backbone of a nation. To move a country forward, the role of culture is immense. It teaches a generation to be humane, patriotic, and to love their country. Bangladesh also has a rich cultural heritage. However, for various reasons, the younger generation is becoming increasingly detached from culture. In this context, a new initiative called “Tara” is set to begin its journey to encourage the new generation to embrace Bangla culture.
With the slogan “Glow and Live Inspired,” Tara will officially launch on 28 November through a cultural event titled “Tara Unplugged” at Café 138 East, Gulshan Avenue, Dhaka.
According to the organizers, “Tara is not merely an event organizer; it is a movement—an effort to guide the younger generation toward Bangla culture through true art, culture, emotion, and human values. Through this initiative, young artists themselves will inspire today’s youth. We want to remind everyone that art, music, history, heritage, and mutual cooperation build real bonds between people. You may join this initiative physically or support it mentally, so together we can reconnect the new generation with Bangla culture.”
The opening program will feature a two-hour special musical performance from 7:30 pm, featuring Shubhendu Das Shuvo and Sanjida Mahmud Nandita of Moji & Co., renowned for their acoustic chemistry and poetic musical style. Popular young contemporary singer Animesh Roy will also perform.
Next year, Tara plans to host various themed events, including cultural festivals, corporate showcases, and creative social gatherings. Each event will carry Tara’s signature emotion, creativity, and aesthetic spirit.
