Nvidia Nets New Quarter Record, CEO Optimistic on AI Growth
Nvidia has set a new revenue record for its third quarter, boosting optimism for CEO Jensen Huang. The company reported revenue of $57 billion, a 62% increase compared to the same period last year. Net income reached $32 billion, up 65% year-on-year. Both revenue and profit exceeded Wall Street expectations.
The data center business emerged as the primary driver of growth, generating $51.2 billion—25% higher than the previous quarter and 66% higher year-on-year. Gaming contributed $4.2 billion, bringing the total revenue from the sector to $5.8 billion.
Nvidia Chief Financial Officer Colette Kress noted that strong AI models, agentic applications, and surging computing demand are accelerating data center growth. The company recently announced a five-million-GPU-equivalent AI infrastructure project. Sales of the recently launched Blackwell Ultra GPU in March have been “off the charts,” Huang commented.
However, shipments of the H2O GPU were limited to 50 million units this quarter due to sales restrictions in China, Kress explained, citing geopolitical tensions and market competition as factors.
Looking ahead, Nvidia has forecasted $65 billion in revenue for the fourth quarter, further boosting investor confidence. Huang emphasized that the current AI hype is not mere speculation—this marks the start of a new growth cycle.
