Credence Conducts Comprehensive Compliance Course

Hong Kong–based fintech firm and commercial risk analytics platform Credence Data has conducted a hands-on training program on risk management and customer verification for officials from several of Bangladesh’s leading banks.

Officials from City Bank PLC, Bank Asia PLC, Premier Bank PLC, and Modhumoti Bank PLC participated in the session.

During the workshop, participants were shown how banks can make faster and more reliable data-driven decisions by using Credence Data’s digital platform instead of relying solely on PDF reports. The platform, designed primarily for cross-border trade financing, enables accurate decision-making using verified trade data and actual shipment records.

The training also highlighted “Insight Lens”, an AI-powered analytical tool developed by Credence Data. According to the presenters, the tool analyzes information only from verified sources and avoids the use of unverified third-party data. It allows a bank’s credit and trade finance teams to analyze reports instantly, enhancing both the speed and consistency of decision-making.

In addition, the platform features a multi-branch collaboration system, enabling all branches of a bank to securely access a shared data repository and reuse reports as needed. This feature aligns directly with Bangladesh Bank’s directive to establish a centralized credit information repository, which is expected to help reduce operational costs across the banking sector.

Divya Tailang, Co-founder of Credence Data, said, “We don’t just deliver business reports; we’ve built a comprehensive decision-support system suited for today’s fast-paced trade and credit environment. Our goal is to equip banks with verified, actionable data—helping them minimize both risk and time.”

She added, “Through ‘Insight Lens’, we combine verified trade information with artificial intelligence to empower banks with confident, data-driven decision-making—fully aligned with the vision of Bangladesh’s Central Credit Intelligence System.”

Md. Raisul Amin, SEVP and Head of CTPC at Bank Asia PLC, remarked, “The Credence Data training was highly informative. Their digital approach and instant report analysis tool will significantly enhance our efficiency, verification processes, and time management in trade finance operations.”
