JUST School and College Launches Higher Secondary Wing with Freshers’ Reception

The college section of Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST) School and College has formally commenced its journey with a freshers’ reception for eleventh-grade students. For the first time, the institution has opened its higher secondary wing, where a total of 39 students have been enrolled across different disciplines. Previously, JUST School and College operated only up to the secondary level.

The inauguration took place on Monday, September 15, at 12:00 pm in the classrooms of JUST School and College, where new students were welcomed with flowers. The event was graced by Professor Dr. Hossain Al Mamun, Treasurer of JUST, as the special guest.

Addressing the new students, the Treasurer said, “In the age of information and technology, the world has become a global village. I expect you to build yourselves efficiently by making proper use of this technology. Hard work during college life is very important for any student. From now on, you must set your goals and work diligently; only then will you succeed in the future. Through your success, JUST School and College will gain nationwide recognition.”

The program was presided over by Dr. Mohammad Saiful Islam, Principal of JUST School and College. Other special guests included Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Matin, Controller of Examinations of the Jessore Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education; Md. Mahfuzul Hossain, District Education Officer of Jessore; Md. Ashraful Alam, District Primary Education Officer of Jessore; Dr. Md. Omar Faruq, Proctor of JUST; and Dr. Md. Rafiul Hasan, Director of the Student Counseling and Guidance Office.

Speakers also included Md. Abul Kalam Azad, founding Headmaster of JUST School and College; teacher Md. Ashiq Iqbal; and newly admitted students Umme Habiba and Tanvir Hasan, among others. The event was also attended by Md. Abul Hossain Munshi, founder of the former Shyamnagar High School (the earlier name of JUST School and College), along with teachers and students of the institution.
