Apple Alleges iOS Espionage in Leak Lawsuit

Tech giant Apple has filed a lawsuit against well-known leakers Jon Prosser and Michael Ramachiochi, accusing them of stealing proprietary trade secrets. According to the complaint, the pair unlawfully accessed a development-stage iPhone and leaked confidential features of iOS 26 in a YouTube video. The story was first reported by Engadget.
The lawsuit alleges that Ramachiochi gained unauthorized access to the unreleased iPhone while staying at the home of his friend, Apple designer Ethan Lipnick. During Lipnick’s absence, Ramachiochi used the device and showed its interface and features to Prosser via a FaceTime call. Prosser is then said to have recorded the call and used it to create a rendered video of the yet-to-be-announced iOS 26 features.
Apple stated that the device in question contained sensitive, unreleased information. The company is now seeking a court order to destroy all materials obtained by the defendants and is demanding damages.
Prosser, in response, claimed: “I didn’t conspire to access anyone’s phone and was unaware of the full context of the situation.”
The case is currently under judicial consideration.
