BGC Trust University Bangladesh Hosts Central IT Fest 2025

The Central IT Fest 2025 of BGC Trust University Bangladesh concluded on Tuesday, September 9, with a prize distribution ceremony held at the university auditorium. The three-day event featured six competitions—Programming, Web Development, Graphics Design and Video Content, E-Sports, Idea Contest, and Capture the Flag (CTF)—drawing participation from more than two hundred students across various departments.

The closing ceremony was presided over by IT Club President Md. Rahat Ibne Sattar. The event was graced by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A. F. M. Aurangazeb as chief guest, with Registrar (In-Charge) Dr. S. M. Shoaev, IT Club Chief Advisor and Chairman of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering Salauddin Chowdhury, Chief Technology Officer of Hello World Communications Ltd. Shubhra Dev Kar, Chief Executive Officer of Delta Immigration Mohammad Alamgir, CEO of CTG Gadget Accessories Md. Bayezid Hossain, Deputy Registrar Salahuddin Shahriar, IT Club Advisor and Assistant Professor of Business Administration Farhana Nasrin, Lecturer of English Imran Uddin Chowdhury, and Lecturer of Law Touhidul Islam Jihadi, among others, attending as special guests.

In his address, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A. F. M. Aurangazeb remarked, “Information technology is the backbone of every sector in today’s world. BGC Trust University Bangladesh is always committed to providing hands-on education, practical experience, and opportunities to engage with modern technology. Such initiatives play a vital role in nurturing creativity, competitiveness, and leadership among students. I believe our students will use this experience to make meaningful contributions to the country’s IT sector in the future. Acquiring technology-driven skills is not only essential for academic pursuits but also for every step of life and career. If students acquire the right skills at the right time, they can prove their worth both nationally and internationally.”
