In response to the evolving challenges of journalism in the digital era—particularly the rise of misinformation and the need for instant news dissemination—the Multimedia Journalist Association Sylhet (MJAS) officially unveiled its logo and hosted a daylong training workshop on Saturday, July 12, in Sylhet.
The event brought together journalists from various districts and upazilas of the Sylhet division, who received hands-on training in photography, videography, and multimedia journalism, including television reporting. The workshop focused on professional excellence and ethical responsibility in a rapidly transforming media landscape.
The session was chaired by Masud Ahmed Rony, Convener of MJAS, and moderated by H.M. Shahidul Islam, Member Secretary. The program began with a minute of silence in memory of all martyrs, including Sylhet-based journalist A.T.M. Turab, who was killed during the historic 2024 uprising.

The certificate-giving ceremony at the end of the training was graced by Muktabis-un-Noor, former president of Sylhet Press Club and editor of Daily Jalalabad, as the chief guest.
