Science Series for Students Launched to Inspire Future-Ready Generation

On Monday night, July 30, The Message Publications officially launched a 10-volume science series aimed at children, at an event held at the Al Falah Auditorium in Moghbazar, Dhaka. The books were unveiled by Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maulana Abdul Halim.

The event was presided over by Mohammad Selim Uddin, Central Executive Committee Member and Ameer of Jamaat’s Dhaka North City chapter. Special guest Professor Dr. Abdur Rob, Vice Chancellor of Manarat International University, also addressed the audience.

The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Mohammad Rezaul Karim, Central Working Committee Member and Secretary of Jamaat’s Dhaka North City chapter. Other notable attendees included Central Working Committee Member and Nayeb-e-Ameer of Dhaka North Amir Abdur Rahman Musa, Central Majlis-e-Shura Member and Assistant Secretary Mahfuzur Rahman, Nazim Uddin Molla, and Dr. Fakhruddin Manik, among others.

Speaking as the chief guest, Maulana Abdul Halim emphasized, “The future world will be science and technology driven.” He urged the younger generation to engage in the pursuit of science and technology alongside ethical and religious education in order to prepare the nation for global competition.

He added, “In the past, our youth were misled into thinking that Islam and science are incompatible. But that misconception is now fading. Today’s generation is successfully balancing both spiritual and scientific pursuits. The martyr Abdul Malek, a brilliant student of Dhaka University and a pioneer of the Islamic education movement, was himself a student of science. Clearly, Islamic values and science are not contradictory. To advance the nation, students must commit themselves to both moral education and scientific inquiry.”

Maulana Halim called upon students to adopt a scientific mindset to meet the challenges of the new century.

In his special remarks, Professor Dr. Abdur Rob said, “Historically, Muslims were the vanguards of knowledge, science, education, literature, and culture. Their influence once enlightened all of Europe. Despite some setbacks, the future world will belong to Islam and to humanity.” He encouraged scientists to motivate the youth to pursue education in science and engage in scientific research.

Chairing the event, Mohammad Selim Uddin stated, “Publishing a 10-volume science series for children is a commendable contribution by The Message Publications. To face the global challenges of the 21st century, our children and adolescents must be educated in science and technology. The modern world runs on technology, and to enrich the nation, we need quality and effective research in this field.” He urged the country’s scientific community to take an active role in building a morally grounded, tech-driven new Bangladesh.
