Notre Dame University CSE Fest 2026 Showcases STEM, Skills and Smart Computing

The three-day “NDUB CSE Fest 2026” has begun at Notre Dame University Bangladesh, highlighting technology, creativity, and academic excellence. Students, teachers, and technology enthusiasts from different universities across the country are taking part in the event. A STEM Olympiad will be held on Friday, May 15, with participation from attendees nationwide.

On Saturday, an inter-university programming contest will be held with the participation of 86 university teams. On the same day, a seminar titled “Beyond Code: Ethics, Logic and Competitive Programming” will also take place.

The three-day event will conclude in the evening with a closing ceremony and cultural performances.

Earlier, the festival was inaugurated on Thursday, May 14, through a colourful rally. The formal opening of the fest was later announced with the release of balloons and pigeons.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony were Vice Chancellor Father Patrick Daniel Gaffney, Pro-Vice Chancellor Father Charles B. Gordon, and Registrar Brother Subal Lawrence Rosario.

The speakers noted that future computing professionals must be enriched not only with technical expertise but also with ethical values. According to them, such events play an important role in developing students into responsible and creative innovators.

Others present at the event included Maintenance Director Father Edmund Cruz, Dean Alok Kumar Chakraborty, Deputy Registrar Father Asim Theotonious Gonsalves, Deputy Controller of Examinations Father Badhan Hilarious Rosario, and Chairman of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering Professor A. H. M. Saiful Islam.
