NCP candidate Nasiruddin Patwari, who contested from Dhaka-8 constituency, met Mirza Abbas, the Member of Parliament from the same constituency, at an Iftar event hosted by Jamaat-e-Islami. The young politician also spoke with the Prime Minister, a Minister of State, and a Jamaat leader.

On Saturday, 28th February, Patwari shared on his verified Facebook page what he discussed with them.

In a post titled "Some Important Conversations," Patwari stated that he told Mirza Abbas, "You shouldn't have done this to your younger brother." He also claimed to have invited the senior BNP leader to his home for Iftar.

Furthermore, he spoke with Jamaat-e-Islami's Amir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, BNP leader Abdul Moin Khan, and Home Secretary Salahuddin Ahmed at the Iftar gathering. What did he say to them?

The NCP leader wrote, "At today's Jamaat-e-Islami Iftar Mahfil, I tried to shake hands with top leaders of all political parties, important political figures, the Iftar serving staff, and the members responsible for security."

He mentioned, "I said to the Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami, 'Please pray for me.' He replied, 'You have both my prayers and my invitation.'"

"I told Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, 'The maid at my house asks for a family card every day. It was a good strategy to win the election.' He said, 'We've started it, and it will be implemented across Bangladesh very soon.'"

"I asked Moin Khan, 'How are you?' He said, 'I'm fine, come visit me at home.'"

"I said to Home Secretary Salahuddin Bhai, 'Please expedite the trial for the murder of Shaheed Osman Hadi Bhai.' He said, 'It will take time to ensure a fair trial.'"

"At that time, I also told Abbas Bhai, 'You shouldn't have done this to your younger brother' and invited him to my house for Iftar."

"After Iftar, while saying goodbye to the Prime Minister and opposition leaders at the same table, Abbas Bhai said again, 'Don't be naughty.' I replied, 'You could have left the little brother's seat instead of snatching it away.'"
