Robi and BRAC Bank Forge Financial Framework for BdApps Developers
Mobile network operator Robi Axiata PLC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BRAC Bank PLC to provide financial assistance to developers of its own marketplace, Bdapps. Under this collaboration, BRAC Bank will extend specialized financial services to Bdapps developers through the Robi platform. In addition, the initiative will help young developers promote, grow, and sustain their apps effectively.
Robi Axiata announced on Sunday, May 2, that the agreement was recently signed at its corporate office in Tejgaon, Dhaka.
Representing BRAC Bank at the event were Additional Managing Director and Head of SME Syed Abdul Momen, Head of Small Business and Distributor Finance Almgir Hossain, Head of Medium Business and Supply Chain Finance Indrajit Sur, and Head of SME Strategy, Innovation, and New Business Mohammad Zakirul Islam.
From Robi Axiata PLC, the attendees included Chief Commercial Officer Shihab Ahmad, Head of Marketing Shawkat Kader Chowdhury, Director (Customer Value Solutions) Manik Lal Das, and General Manager (VAS and Digital Services) Shafique Shamsur Razzak.
Speaking on the occasion, Robi’s Chief Commercial Officer Shihab Ahmad said, “Through this partnership with BRAC Bank, we aim to provide the necessary financial support to help young app developers transform their innovative ideas into sustainable businesses. This initiative will inspire young developers to move forward and will also contribute to strengthening the country’s digital economy.”
